We have boat plans (both yacht designs, catamaran designs and power designs) for all sizes. From the 12ft Mushulu Dinghy stitch & glue yacht tender to the Oceansky 57 catamaran. We design timber boats, plywood boats, strip plank boats, fibreglass composite boats, steel and aluminum boats to very modern styling for both monohull designs or multihull designs, powerboat or sailboat and in round bilge, multi-chine or radius chine hull forms.
Bowdidge Marine Designs has been approached by Aquamarine in a joint venture in the design of 2 commercial vessels, a service craft for the Oil & Gas industry in WA and an aluminium Jetboat for Production to Lloyds commercial standards.
We look forward to working with Antony, formally the Senior Naval Architect for Maritime Safety Queensland, with these 2 exciting projects and also other such commercial ventures in the future.

Well "Salt Peter" is finished, launched and has done 9 hours of cruising. Everything went well. The craft performed beautifully. Have had the 9.9 Hp motor up to full throttle and the boat planed with 2 people (90 kg each), but couldn't quite make it with a 3rd person. A very dry boat, running straight and steady and, took turns like a champion. Congratulations!

Sending you some pics, this stage of boat building is not fun . You can see in one photo i have glued and taped a piece of "yellow tongue" from a particle board flooring sheet to the front of the boat, a little more protection from floating logs etc. !

For those of us in North America, we frequently bemoan the lack of a good wooden fishing boat kit. I’m sure there are some out there, but we’re always on the lookout for others. Clint Chase and I were discussing it Monday morning, and I pointed him to this. OK, it’s not readily apparent that she has an attractive shear, but she truly does. It’s always nice to find a stitch-and-glue design, and this seems well designed for her purpose
