Yacht, multihull and sailboat designs
@ WEB DESIGN BY BOWDIDGE MARINE DESIGNS

We have boat plans (both yacht designs, catamaran designs and power designs) for all sizes. From the 12ft Mushulu Dinghy stitch & glue yacht tender to the Oceansky 57 catamaran. We design timber boats, plywood boats, strip plank boats, fibreglass composite boats, steel and aluminum boats to very modern styling for both monohull designs or multihull designs, powerboat or sailboat and in round bilge, multi-chine or radius chine hull forms.

The Path to your Dreams, may take you places...
You've never Imagined.

Our designs are developed through an intense collaboration using the Maxsurf hull design software / 3D modeling technology and the latest CAD

We carefully coordinate, design and simulate every aspect of our boats before the final design is approved.

Like any high-performance vehicle, the test of engineering excellence is in the ride, and handling.
From our smallest tender to our biggest offshore center console, BMD hulls ride on a uniquely innovative hull and proprietary structural system for maximum performance and safety.

High Transom Angle.
Through the incorporation of a higher transom angle, the engines can be tucked under the boat for getting up on plane quickly and by trimming the engines up, control the bow angle without depending solely on trim tabs.

BMD's benefit from and are typified by their higher profile on the water. A deep freeboard creates a safer cockpit while the wide beam creates a roomier and drier running boat. While not every one of our designs will venture beyond the inlet, every design is designed to do just that.

BMD set's a completely new standard for strength, power and versatility. Stylishly designed to turn heads, but thoughtfully engineered for function and comfort, our boats are designed for individuals who are serious about having fun on the water.
Designed to deliver the roominess and ride of much larger vessels, BMD compromise absolutely nothing in comfort, safety or style. For example, in regards to our power boat designs, we design deep-V hulls, plenty of seating for family and friends, lots of storage for dive gear, tackle and picnic supplies and numerous standard upgrades you won't find on any other amateur built boat in their class, providing a perfect combination of features and performance.
By carefully focusing on the needs of our customers, BMD delivers a high level of usability, technological advancement and overall boating enjoyment.

Higher Freeboard and Wider Beam.

"Deep-V" Hull.
With a sharp entry point, the deep-V hull found on all BMD boats has a high entry angle that delivers a smooth dry ride by displacing water away from the boat while a wide bow flair keeps it from rolling back into the boat. Our hulls also feature a higher degree of deadrise at the transom for added stability in rougher seas.

Large Chines Flats.
The large chines on BMD hulls deflect water down and under the hull, acting as two points on which it balances. These points provide a great deal of dynamic stability for a more solid ride while also increasing lift and reducing drag for a faster more efficient running hull.

Safety:
Our first priority is to design the safest boats on the water. Within our designs, all structural components and spaces are filled with 100% composite closed-cell PVC foam for maximum buoyancy and flotation. Every BMD boats, from the smallest to the largest, are designed to exceed exceeded all industry standards for unsinkability, for your peace of mind.
